MCH - Morris County Hospital is seeking a Medical Technologist at Morris County Hospital in Council Grove KS

Qualifications

Responsibilities include perform preventative maintenance and upkeep on all analyzers. This
includes calibration controls and any trouble shooting issues that could arrive during testing.
This includes the proper documentation of action/issue. Perform venipunctures as well as
occasional blood gas arterial draws. Follow the laboratorys procedures for specimen handling
and processing test analysis reporting and maintaining records of patient test results. Must have
an understanding of knowledge of valid diagnosis coding used for testing. Generalist duties in
following main areas: Hematology Blood Bank Clinical Chemistry Coagulation Specimen
Processing and Microbiology setup. Follow lab guidelines for tests results and interpret
abnormal/critical lab results and notify the proper personnel. Identify and if capable correct any
problems that might lead to an erroneous lab value. Operate the Hospital LIS. Order process
look up and report tests in the system. Bachelors degree in Medical Technology required.
ASCP certified or eligible or certified by an equivalent accreditation agency or eligible. Work
location is 600 N. Washington Council Grove KS 66846. Salary is $61568 per year.
