As a Senior Operations Officer Client Onboarding you will be responsible for providing oversight/control of client account opening and maintenance documents to help reduce risk with applicable regulating bodies.

Is this role right for you In this role you will:
- Review documentation for completeness and accuracy ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements for all requests or submitted documents using various applications
- Support various mid-office functions and ensure superior service is provided to Scotiatrust Private Investment Counsel and Canadian Wealth Management branches while working closely with internal and external groups that support these businesses
- Assist management in the development and delivery of innovative solutions and improved processes to allow the businesses to focus on client service and business growth
- Provide exceptional client service support on Client Onboarding related queries by remaining current and informed on existing and new industry regulations and firm policies and procedures
- Ensure the effective delivery of operational and administrative support to Canadian Wealth Management branches
- Complete ongoing quality control reviews of system data operational processes and distribution of exception reporting to branches and maintain client account integrity by performing sundry items as required
Do you have the skills that will enable you to succeed in this role Wed love to work with you if you have:
- Post-secondary education
- 1-2 years experience in the financial services industry preferably in a back-office role opening accounts and reviewing documents
- Working knowledge/experience of financial industry policies and regulations including AML/ATF Privacy KYC QI & FATCA CIRO Reg 1300 and CRS is required
- Canadian Securities Course (CSC) and Conduct and Practice handbook (CPH) is an asset
- Working knowledge/experience of securities / brokerage operations including areas such as Client Onboarding and Regulatory Documentation is required
- Knowledge of Broadridge SharePoint AS400 Score WebPost Trust GUI and WealthOne
- Strong organizational problem solving time management attention to detail customer service and communication skills
- The ability to work with computer-based platforms and applications
- Demonstrated PC user skills including word processing MS Office spreadsheets and database management
- An ability and desire to learn new tasks quickly
- An ability to prioritize & organize incoming work
- Excellent time management skills
