You will be part of a broader Accelerate Program team a high performing team driving best practice standards enabling ASX to run better and protecting the heart of financial markets.

Your responsibilities:

  • Lead the day-to-day management of the External Assurance provider acting as the primary interface between the Program the provider and senior stakeholders.

  • Ensure assurance engagements are delivered in line with approved scope objectives timelines and contractual arrangements.

  • Maintain provider independence while facilitating access to information stakeholders and evidence required for effective assurance reviews and outcomes

  • Ensure assurance activities are integrated with Program planning avoiding duplication with Internal Audit and other relevant reviews.

  • Coordinate sequencing of assurance reviews and critical decision points.

  • Support and coordinate assurance inputs briefings and reporting.

  • Escalate material issues conflicts or emerging themes throughout appropriate governance forums.

  • Oversee quality and consistency of overall assurance outputs ensuring findings are clear evidence-based and outcome focussed.

  • Coordinate the tracking ownership and closure of assurance findings and recommendations in collaboration with Program and Business owners

  • Ensure Assurance activities align with regulatory expectations supervisory feedback

Must have:

  • Minimum of 10 years financial services background with demonstrated experience in areas of Financial Markets Project Delivery Assurance and Regulatory driven Programs

  • Ability to engage and report at an Executive level

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills

  • Strong stakeholder management and influencing skills: strong communication facilitation and collaboration

  • Comfortable working with a matrix structure and/or environment with multiple internal and external senior stakeholders

  • Ability to work both independently and as part of a team

  • Easy to get along with and establishes rapport with others very quickly

Nice to have:

  • Tertiary education or other relevant industry certification.

  • Strong experience of financial services organisations (focus on financial markets) in Assurance Roles

  • Experience in international markets and with variety of regulators and business models

  • Experience of working in environments deploying a mix of Agile Lean and Waterfall approaches to projects and initiatives.
