The Role

As Head of History you will combine high-quality classroom teaching with strategic leadership. You will oversee curriculum development assessment frameworks and departmental performance ensuring students achieve strong outcomes across all key stages.

Your responsibilities will include:

Leading and managing the History department
Teaching History across KS3KS5
Driving improvements in GCSE and A-Level outcomes
Designing and refining schemes of work
Line managing and supporting departmental colleagues

Leading enrichment activities such as trips themed history days and competitions

The role carries appropriate leadership time to focus on departmental development and strategic planning.
