The academy is looking for a DT Teacher who can deliver creative and technically rigorous lessons that develop students design thinking practical capability and problem-solving skills. The department offers a broad curriculum at KS3 with strong uptake at GCSE and A Level.
You will contribute to curriculum planning ensure high standards of health and safety within workshops and support practical learning through structured and engaging projects. There is also scope to contribute to STEM initiatives and enrichment programmes.
Key responsibilities include:
Teaching DT across KS3KS5
Supporting coursework and NEA moderation
Maintaining high standards of workshop safety
Tracking progress and implementing targeted intervention
Contributing to faculty development and cross-curricular initiatives
QTS or equivalent recognised teaching qualification
Degree in Design & Technology or related field
Experience delivering practical lessons safely and effectively
Strong classroom management skills
Commitment to raising attainment and fostering creativity
