About the roles
Aurizon is seeking motivated and organised Shift Coordinators and Terminal Coordinators to join our South Australian operations at Dry Creek and Gillman in Adelaide.
These roles play a critical part in keeping rail operations moving combining handson operational coordination with administrative and communication responsibilities. Youll be the key point of contact during your shiftcoordinating yard terminal and workforce activities supporting train crews and ensuring operations are delivered safely efficiently and in line with business requirements.
Both positions operate on a rotating 24/7 shift roster including nights weekends and public holidays. Key responsibilities:
- Coordinate daytoday yard and terminal operations responding to changing priorities
- Provide direction and support to train crews and operational teams during each shift
- Monitor safety performance and service delivery to ensure compliance with procedures
- Build and maintain strong customerfocused relationships with internal and external stakeholders
- Utilise operational systems to plan allocate and manage resources effectively
- Communicate clearly with internal teams customers and thirdparty providers to keep operations on track
- Support administrative programs and operational initiatives across the site
About you:
You bring a safetyfirst mindset strong communication skills and the ability to stay calm and organised in a dynamic operational environment. Youre adaptable collaborative and comfortable juggling multiple priorities while maintaining high standards.
You can demonstrate:
- Experience in a rail transport logistics heavy industrial or similarly fastpaced operational environment
- Willingness and ability to work a rotating 24/7 shift roster
- Clear and confident written and verbal communication skills
- Strong organisational and problemsolving abilities
- Sound computer literacy and confidence using operational systems and MS Office
- A proactive solutionfocused approach with a commitment to continuous improvement
- Experience working in a safetycritical environment
