Job Summary

MHS Credit Recovery Program

ELATeacher

(1 Position)

Credit Recovery Program Dates: July 6- July 30 2026 NO Fridays

Time: 8:00am-12:00pm

Qualifications:

  1. Valid Massachusetts teacher certification and SEI endorsement
  2. Willingness to implement WIDA Standards Statements
  3. Ability to relate /communicate effectively with teachers students parents andadministrators
  4. Monitor student safety on school premises

Duties and Responsibilities:

  1. Administer and score pre/post tests and write anecdotal evaluations.
  2. Participate in two staff development meetings.
  3. Implement standards-based lessons using WIDA 2020 Standards and MA Curriculum Frameworks
  4. Complete planning logs for each session and maintain student attendance records.
  5. Perform other related activities as required.

Duration: Program Administration and Implementation 90 hours total to include the following:

  • Professional Planning Days June 25 & 26 (5 hours each day). Planning can happen asynchronously however at least 1 hour must be spent in person preparing the summer school classroom
  • 20 days Monday-Thursday from July 6 July 30 (8:00 a.m. - 12:00 p.m.)

Stipend: $40 an hour $3600.00 total

Funding Source: Student activities fund
