With modern technology and strong administrative support lawyers have the flexibility to work in-office hybrid or remotely while maintaining a healthy balance between professional success and personal well-being.This opportunity is ideal for a lawyer who values autonomy client relationships and long-term practice growth within a collegial and well-supported environment.The RoleThe successful candidate will manage family law files from initial client intake through to resolution working on a variety of matters including separation parenting arrangements property division and related litigation.This role offers the opportunity to build and maintain a personal practice while benefiting from the firms infrastructure professional support and marketing resources.Key Responsibilities- Manage a full caseload of family law matters from retainer to resolution
- Provide strategic advice to clients on family law disputes and negotiations
- Conduct mediations negotiations and court appearances as required
- Draft pleadings affidavits agreements and other legal documentation
- Maintain strong client relationships and provide high-quality client service
- Participate in networking and business development initiatives
- Contribute to the firms collaborative and collegial team culture
Qualifications- 3 years of litigation experience with a focus on family law preferred
- Member in good standing with the Law Society of British Columbia
- Demonstrated ability to manage files independently
- Strong advocacy negotiation and communication skills
- Client-focused approach with strong organizational abilities
- Interest in developing and maintaining a personal client base
- Ability to work both independently and collaboratively within a team
Compensation & Structure- Fee-split remuneration model with strong earning potential
- Annual billing target of approximately 1220 hours
