Were looking for a Senior Manager of Commercial to join our Australia Commercial & Business Management team. This role is pivotal in ensuring the successful delivery of commercial outcomes on portfolios and projects across Australia.
Reporting directly to our APAC Head of Commercial and Business Management you will be responsible for overseeing commercial matters for medium to large projects within the Energy and Resources sectors across Australia.
You will provide hands on commercial leadership to our project leaders as well as contract governance and strategic advice to our Bid and Proposal teams ensuring delivery is in accordance with Worleys Commercial Management framework. You will also take responsibility for supporting margin cash flow risk management and customer outcomes while safeguarding Worleys contractual and commercial interests across the full project lifecycle.
This role would suit an experienced commercial leader who has worked within the professional services or engineering project environments preferably with exposure to the energy or resources sectors.
What Youll Have
- University degree or equivalent in a related field or discipline
- Highly desirable qualifications include Construction Law Quantity Surveying Engineering or Commerce/Business Administration;
- Strong base of formal contract administration and/or contract legal experience - working knowledge of contract forms including EPC EPCM FEED would be highly beneficial
- Hands on commercial involvement from proposal and bid phase through execution including commercial strategy development pricing reviews and risk adjusted estimates contract negotiations and clarifications
- Ability to brief and guide project teams on head/prime contract risks obligations and behaviours - driving operational rigor into our project management approach
- Ability to translate contractual risk into commercial (pricing) impact and practical mitigation actions.
