Davie Florida Full-Time or Part-Time In-Person Position

Our veterinary hospital in Davie Florida is seeking a professional compassionate and detail-oriented Veterinary Receptionist / Client Service Representative (CSR) to join our growing team.

We proudly serve dogs and cats throughout Davie Weston Plantation Fort Lauderdale and surrounding Broward County communities. Our hospital is committed to high standards of veterinary medicine preventative care client education and compassionate patient handling.

As the first and last point of contact for our clients this role is essential to delivering an exceptional veterinary client/patient experience.

Position Overview

The Veterinary Receptionist / Client Service Representative is responsible for:

  • Creating a welcoming and organized front desk environment
  • Managing appointment scheduling and client communication
  • Supporting hospital workflow efficiency
  • Educating pet owners about services policies and preventative care
  • Making the client experience positive and welcoming

This role requires a positive attitude friendly demeanor strong communication skills attention to detail emotional intelligence and the ability to multitask in a fast-paced veterinary hospital environment.


Requirements

Key Responsibilities

Client Interaction & Communication

  • Greet clients and patients warmly upon arrival
  • Answer multi-line phones professionally and efficiently
  • Schedule appointments accurately and strategically
  • Confirm appointments and manage follow-up reminders
  • Explain hospital services policies and preventative care programs
  • Provide clear communication regarding estimates and invoices
  • Handle sensitive situations with empathy and professionalism

Administrative Duties

  • Maintain accurate client and patient records
  • Process payments and manage billing transactions
  • Coordinate medical record requests
  • Support prescription refill processing
  • Assist with inventory coordination when needed

Workflow & Team Support

  • Communicate clearly with veterinary technicians doctors and team
  • Help manage appointment flow and minimize wait times
  • Support client education initiatives
  • Maintain a clean organized and welcoming reception area


Qualifications

Preferred:
  • Experience as a Veterinary Receptionist or Client Service Representative
  • Experience in a veterinary hospital medical office or animal care setting
  • Bonus if experienced with IDEXX Cornerstone veterinary practice software

Required:

  • Strong communication skills (written and verbal)
  • Professional phone etiquette
  • Excellent organizational skills
  • Ability to multitask and prioritize under pressure
  • Strong work ethic and reliability
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Compassion for animals and their families and overall client experience

Fear Free awareness or certification is preferred but not required.
