General Information:

This position provides support to the Office of Faculty Affairs and Curriculum by primarily assisting in the production and editorial aspects of publications (catalogs and other publications) as well as contributing to other departmental projects.
The graduate assistant will be expected to work 20 hours per week in person in the Office of Faculty Affairs and Curriculum. Weekly work schedule is flexible within a Monday-Friday 8 am to 5 pm schedule.
This graduate assistantship provides 18 credit hours of tuition support for the school year (9 credit hours per semester). The position begins in Fall 2026.

Duties and Responsibilities:

- Helps update and format information in content management systems.
- Assist in production of undergraduate and graduate catalogs through proofreading and other functions.
- Assist in editing and formatting other online and print documents to prepare them for publication.
- Provide office support by reviewing and organizing data researching information or performing other administrative tasks as needed.
- Develop and sustain clear communication with supervisors and colleagues to ensure efficient completion of time-sensitive projects.
- Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

- Must be proficient in Microsoft Word and Excel; familiarity with entire Microsoft Office Suite preferred.
- Must be comfortable learning new software platforms.
- Must demonstrate attention to details.
- Experience with editing and proofreading preferred.
- Must be responsible punctual dependable and capable of working both independently and in team settings.
- Must possess excellent organizational and time management skills.

Conditions of Employment:

Students may apply to a graduate assistantship prior to being accepted into a graduate program. However to be eligible to receive an assistantship upon entry into a graduate program the following criteria must be met:

The student must be conditionally or unconditionally accepted into a graduate program. Students who are provisionally accepted will not be eligible until they achieve conditional or unconditional acceptance into their program.

The students must have an official transcript on file indicating completion of a baccalaureate degree from an accredited institution or agency

After receiving an assistantship the student must maintain at least a 3.0 graduate GPA in order to retain or reapply for the assistantship.

These are minimum criteria. Graduate program coordinators have the right to impose additional criteria if they see fit.
