Assistant Band Director (Grades 612)
Mineola ISD Mineola Texas

Mineola ISD is seeking a dedicated student-centeredAssistant Band Directorto join a proud and tradition-rich band program serving grades 612. Mineola High School Band is afive-time UIL 3A State Marching Champion and a two-time 3A State Honor Bandwith a longstanding commitment to excellence in both marching and concert performance.

This position includes teaching responsibilities at the middle school and high school levels with an emphasis on building strong fundamentals and developing student leadership throughout the program.

Primary Responsibilities:

Assist with all aspects of the 612 band program including marching band concert band and UIL preparation
Teach middle school band classes and support high school ensembles
Assist with marching band rehearsals sectionals contests and performances
Contribute to a positive hard-working culture that reflects pride in our school and community
Collaborate closely with band staff campus administration and supportive booster organization

Qualifications:

Valid Texas teaching certification (or ability to obtain)
Strong knowledge of band pedagogy and rehearsal techniques
High brass background preferred
Understanding of UIL standards and Texas band traditions
