As a Senior Investment Data Scientist reporting to the Head of Data Science youll lead the development of cutting-edge Alternative Data products that deliver quantifiable market insights to the worlds most sophisticated investment funds. You will transform non-traditional data sources into innovative products that help clients outperform in competitive markets.

Key Responsibilities
- Lead the development of Alternative Data products from concept through implementation leveraging financial market expertise to create measurable alpha.
- Perform exploratory data analysis and build statistical models to transform raw data into marketable insights.
- Conduct quantitative backtests and develop whitepapers that showcase product value and investment edge.
- Collaborate with Sales and Marketing teams to bring products to market and interact directly with clients on technical questions.
- Evaluate and onboard new datasets performing time series analysis to assess informational value.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelors degree in computer science engineering mathematics statistics or related field or equivalent practical experience.
- 5 years of experience as a data scientist in capital markets or financial services.
- Strong proficiency in Python and machine learning packages (sklearn etc.) for exploratory data analysis and statistical modeling.
- Experience with big data and cloud technologies such as Databricks Spark Redshift and AWS.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to explain complex technical concepts to diverse audiences.
Preferred Qualifications
- Masters degree in computer science engineering mathematics or statistics.
- Experience with NLP machine learning and AI applications in financial markets.
- CFA FRM or similar professional designation.
