As a Software Development Engineer in Test (SDET) you will design build deploy and support teams to take on test automation solutions. This role requires a dynamic individual with a unique blend of technical excellence coupled with an open servant leader approach.
You will be instrumental in establishing a leading approach to testing that is fundamental to enabling the journey to a fully DevOps organisation. This is a fantastic opportunity to build your own career with a team scaling at a good pace.
Responsibilities:
- Define and build test automation frameworks for non-functional tests
- Define and build automation of critical parts of the pipeline particularly in the automated provisioning of test data and environments
- Creation Execution and maintenance of performance scripts
- Provide reports and procedures on performance test runs and progress
- Executing performance tests monitoring and communicating the results to stakeholders
- Ensure the Test Automation framework is documented with a focus on continuity
- Identifying bottlenecks and identifying suggestions for performance tuning.
- Work with the development squads to validate and certify if performance scalability availability resilience and reliability requirements are met
- Develop strategies to address the Non-functional requirements throughout the Software or Product Development Life Cycle.
- Analyse root causes of performance issues and provide corrective actions.
- Advise other teams on how they can refine their test approaches (including developers
Qualifications :
- Performance testing experience
- Bachelors degree in Computer Science Information Technology or a related field.
- 3-5 years of experience as a Software Developer in Test
- Direct coding experience in Java JavaScript or Typescript on Linux
- Building test automation solutions using common Open Source tools - e.g. Selenium Serenity K6 REST Assured and Appium
- Demonstrable knowledge of integrating test frameworks in a Jenkins pipeline
- Practical experience of using Git/Bitbucket
- Use of Agile tools - e.g. Confluence JIRA Slack
- Experience in working in Agile teams
- Experience Testing RESTFUL APIs
