The team works across The Briefing and PM Briefing delivering timely accurate and engaging audio journalism for Australian be based in our Sydney CBD office at Level 15 50 Goulburn Street a short walk from Town Hall.A day in the life In this role youll be the Senior Producer for PM Briefing working closely with host Natarsha Belling to deliver a polished high quality news podcast every weekday day-to-day responsibilities will include:Booking and managing guests including journalists experts and commentatorsPreparing daily headlines and detailed interview briefing documentsPanelling and producing the show in studioEditing episodes and liaising closely with the sound engineer and social media producerWriting episode titles and synopses and publishing the podcast to deadlineYoull be comfortable managing on air talent troubleshooting technical issues as they arise and staying calm and focused in a fast paced live to tape news PM Briefing youll be an active member of The Briefing news team contributing to:Pitching episode ideasFinding and booking talentPanelling and producing episodes as requiredBackfill hosting/early shifts if and when requiredYoull also provide production support across longer form series including Secrets We Keep Big Small Talk (BST) and other factual podcasts as Youll NeedA degree qualification in journalism communications or media is the ability to convey information by adopting a range of styles tools and techniques appropriate to the audience and the nature of the experience in working with teams and acting on editorial requests from senior journalists/ experience in working to in researching and writing radio/podcast experience in booking guests and producing research generating original story and content ideas that speak to a target a thorough understanding of program technology studios visualization techniques and SCAs social media us sweeten the deal! 9 Day fortnight trial to support your work life balanceSCA GIGs Our internal talent development program helps you cross-skill and grow within Parental Leave 20 weeks of gender-neutral leave to support all Perks Extra leave for your birthday and volunteering plus free and discounted concert and footy tickets.
