Job Summary
We are looking for a Senior Accountant who thrives in a dynamic consulting environment and is passionate about driving financial accuracy compliance and strategic insight. This role offers exposure to group-level reporting IFRS technical accounting budgeting and forecasting statutory compliance and financial systems improvement making it ideal for a Finance professional who wants to move beyond traditional accounting into a commercially engaged finance role.

What Will You Do
Key Responsibility:
- Assist in the group annual budgeting and monthly forecasting process
- Assist with monthly revenue accrual and deferral process
- Prepare monthly revenue reports
- Prepare monthly management reports
- Prepare and submit monthly payroll and VAT returns
- Assist in the preparation of annual income tax returns
- Prepare and/or review monthly and annual balance sheet reconciliations
- Assist with group statutory (CIPC) compliance
- Daily operating expense management and forecasting
- Prepare and maintain IFRS 16 lease schedules
- Support the annual audit process by preparing and/or reviewing relevant documentation
- Contribute to the development and integration of financial systems and processes
- Build and maintain relationships with both internal and external stakeholders
- Provide ad-hoc support to various members of the finance team
Who Do You Need to Be
- Bachelors degree in financial accounting required
- SAICA articles completed with minimum 2-3 years post articles experience OR 5-6 years experience as an intermediate/senior accountant
- Comprehensive understanding of IFRS accounting standards
- Comprehensive knowledge of the Income Tax VAT and Companies Act
- Strong technical accounting analytical and communication skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (advanced excel skills preferred)
- Ability to train and assist junior accountants
- Financial experience within a consulting environment would be advantageous
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively
- Effective planning organisational and time-management skills
