Key Responsibilities- Develop and implement Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) aligned with student needs and Ohio Department of Education requirements.- Provide direct small-group and individualized instruction in resource or inclusion settings.- Adapt and modify curriculum materials to ensure accessibility and alignment with IEP goals.- Use research-based interventions progress monitoring and data collection to inform instruction.- Collaborate with general education teachers to support inclusive practices and co-teaching when appropriate.- Maintain accurate documentation of student progress services provided and compliance records.- Participate in Evaluation Team Report (ETR) meetings IEP conferences and parent/guardian communications.- Implement behavioral intervention strategies and support positive student behavior.- Coordinate with related service providers (speech-language pathologists occupational therapists etc.) to ensure holistic support for students.- Stay current with best practices state regulations and district policies in special in professional development and contribute to school improvement - Bachelors degree in Special Education or related field.- Valid Ohio teaching license as an Intervention Specialist (K12 or appropriate grade band).- Knowledge of special education laws IEP development and evidence-based instructional practices.- Ability to differentiate instruction and implement accommodations and modifications.- Strong interpersonal skills and ability to collaborate with colleagues families and outside agencies.- Effective communication problem-solving and classroom management skills.
