Job Summary
The Controller will manage the entire accounting & finance operations overseeing financial reporting (GAAP tax) internal controls ensuring compliance and providing key financial insights to executives for profitable growth.
- Financial Reporting & Compliance: Produce financial statements (Balance Sheet Income Statement) manage monthly/quarterly/annual closes ensure GAAP SEC & tax compliance (federal/state).
- Internal Controls: Design and implement systems to prevent errors fraud and protect company assets.
- Strategic Finance: Analyze financial data provide insights for profitability manage debt and participate in loan renegotiations.
- Audit Coordination: Lead and coordinate external audits.
- CPA (Certified Public Accountant) often required.
- Strong background in property accounting real estate finance or management.
- Deep understanding of GAAP/IFRS tax laws and financial regulations.
- A senior-level position often reporting to the CFO or CEO.
- Crucial for accurate financial health and strategic decision-making in real estate firms.
