Job Summary
Student Worker Live at OWU Student Performer
Number of Openings: 1
Purpose/Objective of the Role:
The Student Performer will serve as the opening act for the campus wide concert Live at OWU on Tuesday April 28. The Student Performer will provide a 30-minute high-energy set that enhances the student experience and showcases the artistic talent at Ohio Wesleyan.
Tasks & Responsibilities:
- Performance: Deliver a 30-minute energizing set that is engaging and appropriate for a diverse campus audience.
- Technical Setup: Coordinate with the production team for sound check and ensure all personal equipment/instruments are functional and ready prior to showtime.
- Professionalism: Maintain punctuality for sound checks and performance time as well as adhere to logistical/professional requirements for the event.
Qualifications:
- The Live at OWU Student Performer should be a current OWU student who has experience performing for events and programs.
Potential Future Career Benefit:
- Experience working with a professional production company and nationally known headline performer
- Experience performing at a large concert and insight into the logistics and coordination
- The Student Performer will showcase their talent and gain more exposure and experience performing
