Our state charter is280 studentsgrades 9-12. With about 30 compassionate and dedicated employees. You will work as a highly-valued team member with the Head of School the Director of Business Services the Governing Council teachers and staff in a supportive environment.

Website: Manager GeneralRoles and Responsibilities

The Business Manager oversees all financial and operational functions of the schools business office. This includes school finance accounting budgeting state and federalreporting cash management grant administration audit preparation governing council reporting comprehensive accounting support and all NM statutes and payroll &human resources.

This role requires strong analytical skills independent initiative and effective leadership within a high school environment.

Maintain confidentiality manage multiple deadlines adapt to shifting priorities and provide staff training on policies and procedures.

Ethical and reliable. Foster professional collaborative relationships across the school college and external partners.

Minimum Requirements

  • Must have a minimum of 2 years of verified New Mexico Public Charter School Business Manager/New Mexico School Business Official experience
  • School Business Official License
  • Applicants must meetoneof the threefollowing qualifications:
  1. Hold a current Certified Public Accountant (CPA) certificate;or
  2. Hold a bachelors masters or doctoral degree in accounting business or a related field including at least 24 semester hours of accounting or business coursework from a regionally accredited or PED-approved institution;or
  3. Hold an associate degree in accounting or a related field with at least 24 semester hours in accounting or business courseworkandhave a minimum of three years of verified experience as a school business official.

Additional requirements

  • Ability to pass employment verification and background check
  • This is a full-time 12-month on-site position. Once sufficient experience is gained limited remote work is possible.
  • Ability to attend monthly board meetings in person and occasional travel for trainings and workshops.
