The AV installation Technician will be responsible for the installation maintenance and service of professional audio video control systems professional lighting and electronic equipment as related to the Systems Integration Industry. The Associate is responsible for completing projects in the most efficient and effective manner. All work must meet the highest quality standards set forth by the Company while assuring a professional and safe working environment.

PRIMARY DUTIES:

  • Responsible for reading and understanding Systems Integration installation process.
  • Mustunderstand wiring diagrams schematics and blueprints.
  • Custom fabrication and termination ofcablingrack prep multi-pinsand electronic equipment racks as related tointegration of professional audio videolightingand computer-controlled systems.
  • Assistwith preventive maintenance of external and internal customer equipment.
  • Must respond to all customer service-related issues promptly.
  • Responsible foraccurateserviceinstallationtickets and inventory items.
  • Achieve working knowledge of Company software and work within softwaresystemon a day-to-day basis.
  • Work in a safe positive manner showing respect to others and contributing to the team.
  • Fullycomply withCompany andcustomer safetyprograms.
  • Other duties asrequired.

COMPETENCY:

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Must be able to pull/terminatecabling including but not limited to CAT6/A audio (XLR/3.5) terminal blocks RS-232 to fulfill quality and functionality expectations.
  • Work withspectrum-analyzer multi-meter and impedance meter general handtoolsand an assortment of wall fasteners.
  • Must be responsiblecustomer service/colleague orientedpersonableand well organized.
  • Superior customer service skills to deal with both internal and external customers.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
  • Strong interpersonal skills; ability to work with diverse groups.
  • Proficiencyin using PC or Apple computers including programs like MS Office.
  • Ability todemonstrateplanningorganizingand implementing skills which allow the successful completion of a project by a specific due date.
  • Must be able to effectively handle stressful situations.
  • Must be able to read and effectively interpret general business documentation.
  • Associateisrequired to stand walk climbsitand use hands and fingers.
  • Reachinggraspingand carrying activitiesare alsorequired.
  • Although most work is performed inside occasional outside activities are subject to seasonal temperature fluctuations.
  • Must be able to work at K-12 schools.
  • Mustbe able to work on construction sites.
  • Valid and current drivers license.
  • Must have a smart phone capable of running Microsoft CompanyPortaland other appsdeemednecessary to completework.

EXPERIENCEREQUIRED:

  • 1-3 years experience requited in AV security or electrical installation experience (3-5 years preferred).
  • Preferred but notrequired CTS certification

WORK ENVIRONMENT: Work is conducted inshop onconstructionsites infinishedspaces andoutdoors asrequired.

EXPECTED HOURS OF WORK:typical work hours are 7:00am to 3:30pmhowever other shifts including weekends and overtime are oftenrequiredto meet deadlines and accommodate client needs.

TRAVEL:Out of town and overnight travelto clients site may berequired.
