Description
A reputable industrial company is seeking an experienced Chemical Engineer to join their operations in Middelburg Mpumalanga. The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing optimizing and improving chemical processes to enhance efficiency quality and sustainability. This role requires strong technical expertise analytical ability and a proactive approach to safety and continuous improvement.
Responsibilities:
Design develop and optimize chemical processes and systems to improve operational efficiency and product quality.
Conduct research and feasibility studies for new processes materials and technologies.
Monitor production operations troubleshoot process issues and identify areas for improvement.
Ensure compliance with safety health and environmental regulations.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams including RandD quality production and safety departments.
Analyze process data and prepare technical reports documentation and improvement recommendations.
Support continuous improvement initiatives to enhance productivity and sustainability.
Requirements:
Bachelors degree (or higher) in Chemical Engineering or a related field.
Proven experience in a chemical engineering role within an industrial or manufacturing environment.
Strong knowledge of chemical process design thermodynamics and reaction engineering.
Familiarity with process simulation tools such as Aspen HYSYS ChemCAD or MATLAB (advantageous).
Excellent analytical problem-solving and project management skills.
Strong attention to detail safety-conscious mindset and ability to work effectively within a team.
