This role is critical to achieving Large Order/Catering merchant onboarding goals by owning the full onboarding lifecycle from post-sale handoff through go-live and early-life stabilization. You will ensure merchants launch quickly accurately and with a high-quality ordering experience that minimizes churn reduces operational defects and supports long-term program success.
This position sits at the intersection of operations merchant experience and product readiness driving scalable onboarding excellence for corporate catering and Large Order merchants.
Responsibilities
1) End-to-End Merchant Onboarding & Launch Management
Objective:
Reduce time-to-live improve merchant readiness at launch and deliver a consistent high-quality onboarding experience for Large Order/Catering merchants.
Key Responsibilities:
- Own the full onboarding journey for new Large Order/Catering merchants from post-sale handoff to successful go-live.
- Conduct structured onboarding calls to set expectations confirm operational readiness and review program requirements.
- Guide merchants through critical onboarding milestones including:
- Menu readiness and completeness
- Fulfillment workflows
- Lead times and availability
- Order preparation and packaging standards
- Identify onboarding risks (e.g. incomplete menus unclear serving sizes pricing discrepancies low operational readiness) and proactively drive resolution through structured follow-ups.
- Provide post-launch support during early-life (first weeks live) to address quality gaps minimize churn risk and improve merchant satisfaction.
- Document onboarding outcomes recurring issues and insights to refine playbooks and reduce future operational defects.
2) Onboarding Quality Gates: Menu Audits & Menu Readiness
Objective:
Ensure every merchant launches with a menu that meets Large Order program quality standards and supports a seamless corporate ordering experience.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct structured menu audits as part of onboarding readiness reviews.
- Identify and resolve missing or incomplete information prior to launch.
- Update menus to include critical Large Order details such as:
- Serving sizes and minimum quantities
- Allergen information
- Detailed item descriptions
- Packaging and format clarity (where applicable)
- Partner directly with merchants to validate menu accuracy before go-live.
- Ensure menus meet program standards to reduce ordering friction support tickets and customer escalations.
3) Merchant Metadata Collection & Product Readiness
Objective:
Collect and maintain structured merchant metadata to improve discoverability filtering and ordering functionality for Large Order customers.
Key Responsibilities:
- Gather and organize key merchant metadata required for onboarding completion and product readiness including:
- Cuisine type
- Dietary accommodations (e.g. vegetarian vegan gluten-free)
- Price points and budget tiers
- Serving sizes and food categories (e.g. full meals breakfast finger foods)
- Validate metadata accuracy directly with merchants prior to launch.
- Ensure completeness and consistency of data entry.
- Deliver clean structured data to support product enhancements and improved customer experience.
What Success Looks Like
- Merchants complete onboarding quickly with minimal back-and-forth and clear understanding of program expectations.
- Menus and metadata meet quality standards at launch reducing early-life churn and customer friction.
- Fewer post-launch defects escalations and support tickets.
