Role: Project Manager IV (Finance Transformation) - W2

Duration: contract to end of year with conversion
Location: Chicago IL
Interview: 2 round interviews

Job Summary:

Lead end-to-end execution of finance transformation programs ensuring alignment with strategic business goals and ROI expectations
Utilize Smartsheet to manage portfolio program and project plans track milestones monitor risks and facilitate cross-functional collaboration
Partner with finance technology and business stakeholders to define scope manage issues and drive critical path activities
Establish governance and actively engage stakeholders
Create and manage integrated schedule budget constraints risks and dependencies
Ensure deliverables milestones and benefits are met
Proactively manage key project activities resource requirements and interdependencies
Work with stakeholders across functional areas to develop and support POC/soft launches
Conduct system mapping perform analysis and enhance processes as needed
Drive planning in communication and change management (training planning processes/procedures)
Author and report out performance of projects/programs in a portfolio to the project team stakeholders and leadership
Ensure chosen projects/programs in portfolio are aligned to business priorities goals and expected ROI/ OKRs
Set priorities
Perform other tasks as assigned

Qualifications Important (or resumes will be ignored)

8 years of experience in program and portfolio management with a focus on finance transformation and technology integration
Accounting and finance experience in mid-level roles
Led cross functional projects/programs/portfolio $2M
Ability to translate financial strategy into operational execution
Familiarity with finance systems (e.g. SAP Oracle Workday Anaplan)
Proficiency in Smartsheet including control center and reporting
Strong conflict resolution active listening and stakeholder management skills
Adaptable and comfortable working in dynamic ambiguous environments
Strong executive presence and ability to influence senior leaders
Skilled at navigating competing priorities and aligning diverse stakeholders
Clear concise communicator especially when translating technical or financial concepts
Ability to see the big picture while managing tactical details
Highly organized (attention to details)
Flexible and open to feedback
Strong management skills and ability to multi-task competing priorities
Strong verbal and written communication skills
Flexible and adaptable able to work in ambiguous situations
Ability to conform to shifting demands and timelines through analytical and problem-solving capabilities
Strong knowledge of Microsoft Excel Outlook PowerPoint Project and Word
Bachelors degree

Preferred:

- Experience in large-scale finance operations
- Aviation industry experience
  - Process/Improvement and organizational change management experience
  - PMP
  - PfMP
  - Green Belt / LSS
  - Exposure to Agile MS Teams and Visio
