Description

The OTC Business Process Lead (BPL) provides leadership and management within key commercial areas of order-to-cash and customer service processes developing strategy and roadmap to meet customer market and internal process design expectations whilst leading the implementation of standard processes and tools (Oracle ERP SAP ERP Global e-commerce EDI) in accordance with Global Design.

The OTC Business Process Lead is part of a global network of resources whose responsibilities are the implementation and ongoing management and enhancements of the Business Relationship Management (BRM) processes and supporting tools including Order-To-Cash (OTC).

Working to support the Global Business Process Lead (GBPL) the BPL represents the CooperVision global business processes and standards for their function in the project they are deployed within APAC Region and beyond as required.The BPL will work with the business project team GBPL and Functional Track Lead (FTL) to ensure that the system and processes implemented meet the site or functional requirements as agreed and documented and is responsible for the Region keeping compliant with the global design or have approved and documented exceptions.

The BPL will provide functional and subject matter expertise for planning requirements gathering design development testing and implementation activities for CooperVisions systems landscape as well as providing onsite leadership of end user support for their function.



Responsibilities

General Accountabilities:

Provides tactical leadership in the implementation of processes and standards using subject matter expertise with the Global Business Process Lead to help guide the organization through the process of defining and adopting new business process. Works with the site or function in identifying best practice processes problems and anticipating needs.

Leads and works with local site teams to ensure successful deployment of any OneVision project working through the while project life cycle including data preparation conversion testing training and change management processes.

Supports the organization planning and facilitation of new software configurations to relating to the automation of defined functional processes. Supports the coordination and implementation of software components and upgrades (e.g. SAP in China and Korea) and leads the coordination of testing prior to documentation on all phases of processes and modification of existing systems and processes. Specifically documentation should include policies procedures work instructions and process flow maps at a minimum.

Order to Cash

  • Drive business transformation by influencing certain commercial decisions with a perspective on the impact on internal transactions and service processes provide tactical leadership in change management for the implementation of processes and standards
  • Provide recommendation and solutions to fit/ gap analyses and feature/ functionality trade-off decisions
  • Coordinate commercial input into OneVision project team and take a lead role in the change management activity supporting the site teams.
  • Responsible for ensuring that processes policies procedures and detailed work instructions are documented and maintained including translating into local language as appropriate
  • Develop a deep knowledge of global process design deployed modules and configurations for defined business process area
  • Prepares documentation on all phases of processes and modification of existing systems and processes. Specifically documentation should include policies procedures work instructions and process flow maps at a minimum
  • Enhancement Request:Support existing Oracle markets in the implementation of new functions and requirements
  • User Form; establishing an engaged community of Superusers / Subject Matter Experts

Specific to the Oracle EBS OneVision project (by phase)


Market Readiness:

  • Coordinates pre implementation readiness assessments and recommendations.
  • Suggests and governs an agreed milestone plan to reach Global Design Compliance with a focus on Pricing Promotion and Rebate simplification.

Blueprint phase:

  • Participate in Business Process Definition Workshops
  • Champion process standardization
  • Review business process definition
  • Provide support to Global Business Process Lead as needed
  • Establish and manage work plans for respective process area within respective deployments
  • Coordinate with other Process Leads to ensure cross-process effectiveness
  • Assist in the design and document future business processes to support requirements
  • Participate in change management activities and identify schedule and support process
  • participants across the globe

Build phase:

  • Participates in system-based process walkthroughs
  • Supports technical team
  • Ensure system design meets process goals
  • Establish and communicate changes in policies processes organization structure etc.

Test phase:

  • Coordinates the development and delivery of training to support the deployment
  • Support the review and validation of key business scenarios
  • Review training materials
  • Identify and build key business scenarios
  • Lead test activities document test results
  • Drive change requests
  • Communicate business vision to end users
  • Manage local resource plans for testing

Deploy phase:

  • Facilitate and chair governance meetings with resources at all levels: first line project resources mid- and senior level management keeping senior stakeholders well-informed on a timely basis of progress status and concerns for each assignment
  • Coordinate development of training materials review and approve training materials
  • Perform training as required
  • Act as super user and advisor to process participants
  • Be an active participant in the change management process
  • Monitor process performance

Other responsibilities

  • Global Intake process point of contact for the APAC region.

  • Review and approve enhancement requests in SAP markets in APAC and assist markets in Global Intake Process as regional point of contact to represent enhancement requests in the global forum.

As a senior strategic functional leader the scope of responsibilities will evolve over time.



Qualifications

Knowledge Skills and Abilities:

  • Thought-leader and key contributor to global commercial operations issues related to OTC processes Oracle readiness and organizational impact.
  • Work across organizational boundaries to document and develop functional and technical specifications and support for the design development testing and maintenance of new processes
  • Ability to scope develop and execute complex commercial projects across a number of stakeholders including multiple functions levels of seniority and geographies including associated change management
  • Ability to lead cross functional teams demonstrate follow through and operate successfully at all levels within the organization leading through direct management and through influence
  • Highly robust analytical problem-solving skills from opportunity identification diagnostic through to recommendation and implementation
  • Executive-level communication skills (oral and written) with the ability to plan and execute against clearly defined timelines is essential
  • Flexible style to accommodate business demands including facilitation and thought-leadership

Work Environment:

  • Office based role
  • Travel required 25% of the time. There may be times/projects where 75% travel will berequired for concentrated periods of time.

Experience:

  • Proven track record of 15 years work experience in commercial roles developing strategic vision initial diagnostic and design co-developing roadmap with commercial and functional leaders ensuring ownership and buy-in through to execution and results delivery.
  • Well versed in operating at a senior level in an international matrix structure organization.
  • Previous experience inorder-to-cash processes systems implementation preferably in a global ERP implementation.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead change within a local site.
  • Experience in functional business processes functional requirements writing process and SOP writing test script and use case development and documentation
  • Management experience with multiple cross function contact points

Education:

  • Educated to a minimum of degree level technology-related discipline would be an advantage (e.g. IT Computer Science Computer Engineering)
