Grabs Group Business Development team is a centralized business development function responsible for initiating developing and executing the groups most intricate impactful and forward-thinking partnerships. The team is dedicated to fostering mutually beneficial collaborations with global corporate partners aiming to enhance their business offerings and positively influence customer lives through Grab.
GrabMaps is Grabs emerging flagship B2B enterprise business. We are opening up our proprietary geolocation data and mapping technology to companies that need hyperlocal accuracy to power their own platforms. Drawing from Grabs unique experience navigating the complex ever-changing terrains of Southeast Asia GrabMaps provides the data tools and intelligence necessary for businesses to optimize operations and enhance discovery in the regions most challenging environments.
Get to Know the Role
You will play a vital role within the Group Business Development team to build GrabMaps client pipeline and strategic partnerships as well as developing and executing our Go-To-Market (GTM) strategy and initiatives.
You will be a crucial leader on the ground managing internal and external relationships and projects which may be non-standard in nature and/or have unique or broader implications to various cross-functional business verticals and product teams.
You are expected to take the lead in defining key target segments ranging from logistics and e-commerce to ride-hailing and urban planning drive deals end-to-end from commercial negotiation to closure and maintain key relationships at senior levels of large corporate institutions. To perform this role well you should have extensive experience in building a SaaS or DaaS (Data-as-a-Service) sales pipeline and developing GTM strategies for technical products.
This is a fully onsite role at Singapores Grab One-North office. You will report to the Head of Maps Partnerships Group Business Development & Strategic Partnerships Director.
The Critical Tasks You Will Perform
- Pipeline Growth: Identifying and prioritizing key target accounts for B2B sales closing deals and maintaining a robust pipeline to hit revenue targets for GrabMaps.
- Solution Architecting: Designing and proposing value-based solutions for prospective clients managing delivery alongside the GrabMaps Product and Engineering teams.
- GTM Execution: Co-developing and executing the Go-To-Market strategy for GrabMaps and providing key field inputs for long-term strategic roadmaps.
- Process Ownership: Creating and owning a methodical data-driven sales process and managing internal coordination to ensure the smooth delivery of the mapping suite.
- Strategic Alliances: Exploring and developing partnerships and alliances to accelerate GrabMaps growth and data density regionally and globally.
- Business Reviews: Preparing and delivering regular reviews covering progress roadblocks and solutions to increase regional adoption of GrabMaps.
- Product Feedback Loop: Collaborating with internal teams to provide customer-centric feedback from the field helping shape the future of GrabMaps solutions roadmap.
Qualifications :
What Essential Skills You Will Need
- 5-8 years of experience in a similar role in SaaS/DaaS and/or strategic partnerships. Candidates with such experiences in the geospatial and/or Automotive sector will be a plus.
- B2B SaaS/DaaS Sales Excellence: Proven track record in the full sales lifecycle from cold-start pipeline generation to closing high-value Enterprise contracts.
- Strategic GTM Execution: Experience launching or scaling a technical product in a new market specifically defining segments and pricing models.
- Data-Driven Pipeline Management: Proficiency in CRM hygiene and using data to forecast revenue identify bottlenecks and optimize conversion rates.
- Cross-Functional Orchestration: Skilled at translating long-term sustainable opportunities and client pain-points into recommendations for senior leadership and into requirements for Product and Engineering teams to ensure the solution is both feasible and scalable.
- Regional Navigational Context: Deep understanding of the Southeast Asian business landscape and beyond including localized negotiation nuances and the unique mapping challenges of the region.
- Multilingual Negotiation: Business-standard oral and written communication skills with the proven ability to influence senior stakeholders in both English and Mandarin.
- Complex Project Orchestration: Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail enabling you to manage multiple high-stakes integrations with precision and independence amid ambiguity.
- AI-Enabled Productivity: Familiarity with leveraging and applying emerging AI technologies to optimize sales workflows enhance productivity and drive internal innovation.
