Job Summary

The Senior Platform Engineer is responsible for the design enhancement and operational reliability of the Enterprise Harmonization Platform (EHP) a mission-critical data platform supporting enterprise-wide account harmonization and downstream analytics. This role owns end-to-end platform executionfrom backend data processing and orchestration to search/indexing and user-facing featuresand serves as the technical lead coordinating across engineering analytics and data stewardship teams.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design implement and maintain enhancements to the Enterprise Harmonization Platform built on Apache Solr Java-based processing libraries SQL-driven data transformations and Jenkins-orchestrated pipelines.
  • Develop and optimize backend data processing logic using Java and SQL including configurable libraries supporting large-scale data harmonization workflows.
  • Own execution of scheduled and ad-hoc data processing jobs including job initiation monitoring troubleshooting and root-cause analysis of failures.
  • Ensure platform stability data integrity and performance across dependent pipelines and integrations.
  • Act as the technical lead for EHP-related development coordinating with internal engineering and analytics teams when platform changes affect upstream or downstream pipelines.
  • Translate platform constraints and opportunities into actionable technical solutions.
  • Partner with data stewards to gather and translate functional requirements into technical deliverables including:
    • UI features and workflow enhancements
    • SQL database views and data access layers
    • Enhanced data processing and validation logic
  • Explore and prototype LLM-based agents and intelligent automation to enhance platform operations and data stewardship workflows.
  • Communicate technical status and roadmap implications to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.

Required Qualifications

  • 7 years of experience in software engineering or data platform engineering roles.
  • Strong proficiency in Java and SQL in production data systems.
  • Hands-on experience with job orchestration tools (e.g. Jenkins or equivalent).
  • Experience building and supporting search- or index-based systems (e.g. Solr Elasticsearch Lucene).
  • Proven ability to operate and troubleshoot complex data pipelines end-to-end.
  • Experience working directly with business or data users to translate requirements into technical solutions.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with enterprise data platforms master data management or data harmonization systems.
  • Exposure to LLM-based automation agent design or applied AI in data workflows.
  • Experience acting as a de facto technical lead in cross-team environments.
  • Familiarity with CI/CD practices and operational monitoring.
