• TheProvider Education Specialistposition reviews provider documentation on an ongoing basis and provides feedback for practitioners on areas to improve.

• Reviews documentation by chart daily for Coding Production as assigned by Director of Physician Education
• Provides weekly and monthly feedback to Documentation Specialist on documentation trends
• Performs ongoing analysis of medical record documentation
• Supports Senior Provider Education Specialists for focused areas of documentation needs
• Performs special projects and other duties as assigned

• High School Diploma or GED required
• Certified Professional Coder (CPC) or equivalent required
• At least four (4) years of coding experience and two (2) years of auditing experience
• Degree in Healthcare Administration Health Information Management or related field or equivalent experience/training preferred

• Strong knowledge of Emergency Medicine Coding and Documentation guidelines
• Knowledge of requirements of medical record documentation
• knowledge of medical terminology and anatomy
• Strong oral written and interpersonal communication skills
• Strong decision-making skills

• Strong organizational skills
• Strong time management skills
• Ability to initiate and maintain professional relationships

• Base Compensation will be based on various factors unique to each candidate including geographic location skill set experience qualifications and other job-related reasons.

• This position is also eligible for a discretionary incentive bonus in accordance with company policies.
