As a Security Officer - Unarmed Patrol Officer in Los Angeles CA you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government and more. As an unarmed Patrol Officer at a government location you will monitor and patrol assigned areas conduct routine rounds and stay visible to help to deter security-related concerns. You will document observations communicate clearly with staff and visitors and respond to incidents with professionalism and care. What Youll Do:

• Provide customer service to visitors employees and/or contractors by following security-related procedures site-specific policies and when appropriate emergency response activities at a government location.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of buildings grounds and perimeter areas to help to deter unauthorized access and/or suspicious activity.
• Monitor access control points verify identification and/or credentials as required and direct individuals to appropriate areas in accordance with posted rules and site instructions.
• Respond to incidents alarms and/or requests for assistance in a calm problem-solving manner and communicate updates to the appropriate parties.
• Complete detailed reports and shift logs document unusual occurrences and relay relevant information during post handoff.

Minimum Requirements:

• Have at least 1 year of security-related experience.
• Client requires proof of high school diploma and/or GED.
• Baton certification is preferred.
• CPR and/or First Aid certification is preferred and may be completed post hire.
• Be comfortable using a computer and/or tablet preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21 years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal state and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid drivers license will be required for driving positions only.
