This is a permanent position.

Your Tasks

The Quality Coordinator is responsible for overall management of the site Quality Management System (QMS) and supporting operations to produce quality products within specifications.

Responsibilities:

Quality Management System (QMS)

  • Maintain the audit schedule conduct audits independent of the production team and other assurance activities including FSRs JRA Observations and Management Inspections

  • Represent the Site during all external quality audits

  • Maintain the currency of all equipment calibrations and the calibration register

  • Maintain and ensure currency of the Non-Conformance Register including reporting on and driving corrective and preventive actions to completion

  • Represent the Site at the monthly Quality Leadership Team meeting

  • Review and process incoming raw materials documentation and ensure suppliers are meeting their requirements

  • Ensure all other quality aspects of the Austrak IMS are maintained on site including responsibility for maintaining the Sites ISO 9001 accreditation

Site Operations

  • Report on Quality KPIs interpret data and drive improvements corrective and preventative actions.

  • Follow through on set processes and ensure adherence to best production practices and product quality standards.

  • Ensure compliance to authorisation of hold points and correct completion of all manufacturing documentation

  • Attend management meetings and report on Site Quality KPIs issues trends and solutions

  • Facilitate and lead Root Cause Analyses for investigating quality and process issues

  • Analyse review and present data in consultation with the Factory Manager for further reporting as required

General

  • Identify opportunities for improvement and lead improvement initiatives

  • Project management of relevant minor capital projects including developing business cases and submission of capital requests for projects

  • Lead and conduct trials for potential improvement initiatives

  • Champion the Fit 4 Future improvement program on site

  • Provide leadership to the relevant team members by communicating targets developing a collaborative working atmosphere and delivering guidance to meet or exceed targets.

  • Support daily weekly and monthly quality testing inspections and procedures.

  • Report results issues and roadblocks to the Factory Manager.

  • Report on any unusual product observations and analytical results while analysing or sample handling.

  • Comply with established quality safety and environmental procedures and policies.

  • Interact regularly with management production and outside agencies in all plant operations.

  • Visual inspection of raw materials

  • Daily inspection of defects and associated paperwork to help inform decisions and actions

  • Deliver and administer training for inspection crews

  • Conduct Quality Toolbox Talks at pre starts

Your Profile

  • QA experience in a manufacturing environment such as concrete food heavy industrial mineral processing

  • Experience in operating under and maintaining an ISO 9001 Quality Management System

  • Tertiary qualifications in a relevant engineering discipline preferred but not essential

  • Meticulous in their work skilled in quality processes and statistical techniques.

  • Knowledgeable about measurement and test equipment mathematical calculations.

  • Advanced knowledge of safety and quality principles and processes.

  • Understanding of ISO 9001 -- Quality Management System.

  • Understanding of manufacturing methods and procedures.

  • Effective communication with staff and Key Stakeholders.

  • Prioritize work schedules to meet operational goals and Safety and Quality KPIs.

  • Demonstrated time management and organisational skills.

  • Proven verbal and written communication skills.

  • Intermediate skills in Microsoft Office platforms.
