Job Description
As a Security Officer Flex Hostos Pedestrian Patrol in Philadelphia PA you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries. Join a leading team where flexibility meets opportunity. As a Flex Part-Time Security Officer you can build a schedule that works for you and explore new roles using our Claim a Shift platform. Learn more: As an unarmed Patrol Officer with Allied Universal at a school location you will make routine rounds through campus areas stay highly visible to help deter security-related incidents and support students staff and visitors with professional customer service. You will document observations communicate clearly with site contacts and respond to concerns with calm teamwork and integrity reflecting our agile reliable and innovative culture that puts people first.

What Youll Do:
- Provide customer service to staff students parents and visitors by carrying out site-specific policies access control procedures and when appropriate emergency response activities.
- Conduct regular and random patrols of buildings hallways grounds and perimeter areas to help to deter unwanted activity and/or policy violations; working environments and conditions may vary by location.
- Monitor entrances visitor check-in processes and designated areas to help identify unauthorized access suspicious behavior and/or hazards; communicate concerns to site leadership as needed.
- Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm problem-solving manner including alarms disturbances medical events and/or calls for assistance; request additional support when needed.
- Document security-related observations incidents and patrol activities in written reports and/or logs; maintain professional communication with site contacts and responding public services.
Minimum Requirements:
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21 years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal state and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid drivers license will be required for driving positions only.
