Job Summary
A well-established company within the Mining and Construction industry based in the Durban (Umhlanga) area is seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Debtors Clerk with a minimum of 5 years experience. The successful candidate will have strong knowledge of debtors control processes and proven experience working in a fast-paced high-volume environment. This role requires someone who is accurate deadline-driven and able to work independently while maintaining strong client relationships.

- Full-function debtors ledger management
- Performing debtors reconciliations
- Processing and issuing credit notes
- Conducting detailed age analysis and following up on overdue accounts
- Preparing and processing customer invoices
- Ensuring accurate payments
- Managing account queries and resolving discrepancies
- Monthly reporting on outstanding debtors
- Maintaining accurate and up-to-date debtor records
- Assisting with audit requirements where necessary
- Liaising with internal departments and external clients regarding accounts
Minimum Requirements & Qualifications:
- Minimum 5 years experience as a Debtors Clerk (essential)
- Experience within the Mining and/or Construction industry (advantageous)
- Strong working knowledge of Pastel Evolution (non-negotiable)
- Degree or Diploma in Accounting Finance or a related field (essential)
- Solid understanding of debtors processes and credit control procedures
- Excellent reconciliation and numerical skills
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy
- Good communication and problem-solving skills
- Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines
