Your contribution to something big:
As an Embedded Software Developer in the field of automotive functional safety you will contribute to the development of safety-critical embedded software for advanced steering angle sensor systems. Your work directly supports vehicle stability systems and helps ensure safe driving experiences for millions of people.
You will:
- Translate customer and system requirements into high-quality software requirements in alignment with the V-Model.
- Design robust software architectures and detailed software modules using tools such as Enterprise Architect and PlantUML.
- Develop and maintain MISRA-compliant embedded C code for automotive microcontrollers.
- Ensure compliance with ISO 26262 standards throughout the software lifecycle.
- Perform static code analysis (e.g. Astrée) to guarantee reliability and safety.
- Develop and execute unit and integration tests using frameworks such as CANTATA.
- Maintain requirements traceability using DOORS and Jira.
- Collaborate cross-functionally with hardware systems and test engineers to ensure seamless integration and product excellence.
Qualifications :
What distinguishes you:
Education
- Bachelors or Masters degree in Computer Science Electrical Engineering or a comparable field.
Experience
- Experience in embedded software development ideally within the automotive or safety-critical domain.
- Practical experience working according to the V-Model especially in requirements engineering and software architecture (left side activities).
Know-how
- Strong proficiency in embedded C programming and microcontroller-based systems.
- Good understanding of automotive functional safety principles (ISO 26262).
- Familiarity with requirements management tools (e.g. DOORS) and version control systems such as Git.
- Ideally knowledge of AUTOSAR architecture and communication protocols such as CAN.
- Experience with debugging and testing tools (e.g. Vector CANoe) is a plus.
- Basic scripting knowledge (e.g. Python) for automation is beneficial.
Languages
- Good command of English (written and spoken). German is an advantage.
Working Style and Methods
- Structured and analytical approach to problem-solving quality-driven mindset. Experienced in agile development environments.
