Job Summary

We are looking for aSous Chef - Pastry that is a dynamic warm and professional.
You will play a crucial role in creating the Sommerro experience and our guest promise: We give ENERGY to the city.

The successful candidate will work alongside the management team as part of a strong and effective department overseeing the operation of our pastry and dessert offerings including events catering breakfast room service and three of our in-house restaurants and coffee bar:

  • Ekspedisjonshallen: An all-day dining venue offering a menu of classic brasserie favourites.

  • Tak & Izakaya: Our Japanese-Nordic restaurant with unique and innovative dishes.

  • To Søstre: An elegant venue that serves afternoon tea.

  • Kafe Lucy:Our in house coffee bar offering seasonal pastries cakes and sandwich to both in-house guest and visiting customer.

What youll do except cooking wonderful food...

  • Maintaining the integrity of our brands standards in line with the leaders in your department

  • Support the Executive pastry chef with ideas and techniques while striving to innovate and evolve the menu development

  • Have a firm grip on maintaining Sommerros food quality and food waste standards

  • Make sure that the guest experience is at the heart of what you do

The qualifications were looking for...

  • Relevant culinary qualifications and similar experience as part of a fast-moving culinary team in a busy and dynamic environment

  • Have a good understanding of the business with a proven track record of working in large teams across multiple outlets

  • Fluency in English or a Scandinavian language

  • Visa or relevant passport to work in Norway (applications without this will not be reviewed)
