Compensation and Benefits:

Base SalaryisPer 2026-27 Salary Schedule plus $9000 Annual Flat Salary Stipend

New Teachers are offered a one-time salary advance opportunity to increase their August paycheck. We want to assist in all ways possible through the transition into the teaching profession.

Paid Leave: 4 Personal Days; 9 Sick Days; 5 Bereavement Days; Civic Leave; and Professional Leave as determined by administrators. Certified staff also administer a Sick Leave Bank that all certified staff are eligible to join on an annual basis. Teachers who are parents or guardians of an FPS student can also use up to 4 sick days per year to attend FPS-sponsored activities for their child.

Retirement: FPS is a member of the Nebraska Public Employee Retirement System and contributes to the defined plan per Nebraska statute

FPS provides all certified team members long term disability a $10000 individual life insurance policy and quarterly perfect attendance bonus opportunities.

JOB TITLE: Instructional Facilitator

REQUIREMENTS:

Education Level:

  • Bachelors Degree Required
  • Masters Degree Preferred

Certification/Licensure:

  • Nebraska Teaching Certificate with appropriate endorsement required

Experience Desired:

  • At least five years of successful teaching experience
  • Experience with Instructional Technology preferred
  • Experience working with differentiated student programming including English Learners and Special Education preferred.
  • Experience in Curriculum Development Program Coordination or Instructional Leadership Preferred
  • Experience in Developing and Leading PK-12 Professional Learning and Providing Coaching Support with Adult Learners Preferred

Other Requirements:

  • Knowledge of the development implementation and evaluation of effective MTSS frameworks as a part of continuous improvement leading to improved student outcomes.
  • Ability to coordinate and provide professional learning and ongoing coaching support to adult learners
  • Effectively utilizing excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Ability to use technology as an instructional tool for data analysis research and presentation

REPORTS TO: Assistant Superintendent of Teaching and Learning

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

The essential functions of each employees position includes (1) regular dependable in-person attendance on the job; (2) the ability to perform the identified tasks and to possess and utilize the identified knowledge skills and abilities and to perform the identified work activities; and (3) the ability to perform the physical requirements on their specific job description.

Basic:

The Instructional Facilitator position offers the opportunity to work with excellent district teachers staff and administrators to ensure high-quality learning experiences for all students; coordinate curriculum assessment and instructional practices; facilitate collaboration; and advance continuous improvement efforts aligned to the districts goals. The facilitator is able to sustain involvement with long-term projects and assignments and remain flexible and positive with the demands and assignments of the job.

Frequent:

  1. Assists staff with the identification and implementation of research-based instructional interventions instructional materials and other appropriate supports for students through the MTSS to enable them to progress in the district curriculum and meet district and state standards.
  2. Facilitate development implementation and monitor effectiveness of the districts MTSS programming framework to meet the needs of all learners to foster continuous improvement.
  3. Collaborates with teachers facilitators and administrators to provide coaching support and professional learning.
  4. Assist teachers in the collection and analysis of data to improve student achievement and plan for instruction.
  5. Provide teacher support for data-based instructional needs.
  6. Develops Supports and implements district guaranteed viable curriculum and instruction.
  7. Guide or assist with professional development and research.
  8. Serve on school/district committees
  9. Assist teachers and administrators in evaluating strengths and weaknesses of instruction programs materials and systems.
  10. Assist in research and provide content knowledge and resources to PK-12 staff about student learning and instruction.
  11. Assist in the research and prepare materials for use by the district
  12. Assist in research and provide information and guidance regarding a range of effective and innovative practices through various activities such as: individual discussions (informal and formal) study groups staff meetings grade level meetings and professional learning programs/sessions.
  13. Maintain paperwork consistently appropriately and in a timely manner.
  14. Assist with data analysis and implementing with district data protocol
  15. Maintain the confidentiality of schools teachers and classrooms.
  16. Attend professional development conferences.
  17. Other duties may be assigned.

This position works closely with other facilitators and program leaders supporting student literacy.
