Our client is a leading player in South America. They are committed to providing an exciting accurate and secure betting experience for our customers across various sports. They are currently seeking a meticulous and analytically-driven Sportsbook Trader to join our dynamic trading team.

The Role:

The Sportsbook Trader is a critical role responsible for the day-to-day management of the betting markets. You will be instrumental in ensuring competitive pricing effective liability management and overall operational excellence for our sports betting product. This position requires outstanding attention to detail a passion for sports and strong analytical capabilities.

Key Responsibilities:

• Price Management and Liability Control: Continuously monitor real-time prices make adjustments to maintain market competitiveness and proactively control liability exposure across all sports and events.

• Event Management: Oversee the entire lifecycle of betting events including accurate ordering setup in-play management and timely settlement of results.

• Bet Acceptance: Make informed real-time decisions regarding bet acceptance based on defined risk parameters and company policies.

• Sportsbook Product Operations: Manage the operational integrity and accurate display of the Sportsbook product and related site content.

• Customer Analysis and Management: Utilize data and analysis to understand customer betting patterns and manage accounts to mitigate risk and identify valuable opportunities.

• Reporting: Generate detailed reports on trading performance liabilities and market movements to inform strategy.

• External Communication: Communicate effectively with external data and product providers to ensure seamless service delivery.

• Fraud Prevention: Actively monitor betting activity to identify and prevent potential fraudulent behavior safeguarding company assets.

Requirements:

• Sports Knowledge: Excellent general knowledge across a wide range of sports and strong awareness of the global sporting calendar.

• Analytical Skills: Strong mathematical statistical and analytical skills are essential for risk assessment and pricing decisions.

• IT Proficiency: Strong general IT skills including an advanced level of proficiency in Microsoft Excel.

• Work Ethic: Demonstrated outstanding work ethic reliability and the ability to thrive in a high-pressure fast-paced environment.

• Language: Fluent English speaking reading and writing skills are required.

• Experience (Desirable but not Necessary): Previous professional experience in a sports trading or similar highly analytical role is a plus.
