Payroll Manager
The Payroll Manager leads and oversees the end-to-end payroll process for the organization (approximately 1200 employees). This position ensures payroll accuracy compliance with all applicable laws and timely processing. The Payroll Manager collaborates with internal and cross-functional teams to ensure accurate and efficient payroll.
Responsibilities will include:
- Maintain accurate inventory records in Oracle WMS ensuring timely updates for all movements and adjustments to minimize discrepancies.
- Oversee and manage the full-cycle payroll process for a multi-state workforce ensuring timely and accurate bi-weekly/semimonthly payroll processing.
- Supervise and support a payroll team of two providing mentorship performance management and workflow coordination.
- Maintain compliance with federal state and local payroll wage and hour laws and best practices.
- Review and approve payroll entries adjustments retroactive payments garnishments and tax withholdings.
- Ensure accurate and timely filing of payroll taxes year-end processes including W-2s and other statutory reporting.
- Partner with HR and Finance to reconcile payroll-related accounts and support audits and month-end close processes.
- Identify and implement process improvements to enhance payroll efficiency and accuracy.
- Manage payroll systems and act as the point of contact for system upgrades integrations or vendor relationships.
- Stay updated on changes in payroll regulations and ensure company practices remain compliant.
Desired Qualifications:
- Bachelors degree in Supply Chain Management Business Administration Finance / Accounting or a related field; or equivalent relevant experience.
- Bachelors degree in Accounting Finance Business Administration or related field preferred.
- 7 years of payroll experience with at least 2 years in management or senior-level role.
- Strong knowledge of multi-state payroll processing tax regulations and compliance requirements.
- Experience with payroll systems such as ADP Workday UltiPro or similar platforms.
- Excellent leadership communication and organizational skills.
- Ability to handle confidential information with discretion.
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to perform essential job functions in compliance with ADA FMLA and other relevant federal state and local regulations
- Ability to lift and carry up to 10lbs.
- Ability to communicate clearly and effectively on the telephone including listening and speaking
Working Conditions:

- Occasional exposure to noise
- Required to extended hours as needed
- 10% of the time occasional travel or frequent travel for meetings site visits or events
The position is full-time. Compensation will be commensurate with experience.
