Public Relations Lead for EMEA

Fastly a rapidly growing edge cloud company with industry-leading technology and an award-winning product portfolio is seeking a dynamic team-player to lead Public Relations across Fastlys Europe Middle East and Africa (EMEA) region to elevate our brand and amplify our compelling story so we are no longer the best kept secret in the industry.

Youll play a pivotal role in showcasing how Fastlys network services content delivery edge computing web application security and observability tools are fundamentally changing how digital businesses build and operate on the internet. What Youll Do:

  • Architect and Lead European Public Relations and related communication campaigns

  • Contribute to the research design and implementation of holistic corporate and product communications strategies that directly contribute to Fastlys brand reputation market leadership and business growth.

  • Contribute to and leverage Corporate Thought Leadership: Partner with regional peers and with our visionary leadership team and product leaders to unearth groundbreaking insights and translate them into compelling regionally relevant coverage positioning Fastly as a global voice in cloud infrastructure and cybersecurity.

  • Drive High-Impact European Media Engagement: Cultivate and expand relationships with top-tier enterprise IT and business journalists in prioritized countries securing significant media coverage that articulates Fastlys innovation and market impact.

  • Be an active contributor and leader of our global PR Engine: Oversee all corporate and product-related PR activities for Europe including strategic external announcements proactive press engagement and identifying high-value speaking and awards opportunities.

  • Youll lead and mentor our in-region PR agencies ensuring peak performance and strategic alignment.

  • Strategic International Partnership: Work hand-in-hand with our global marketing teams to ensure global message consistency and contribute to the overarching PR strategy providing strategic input and supporting global efforts as needed.

  • Manage and Protect Fastlys Reputation: Proactively monitor the media landscape across Europe analyze competitive share of voice and develop robust strategies to enhance Fastlys public image. You will play a key role executing and European-specific critical issues management communication plans safeguarding our brand integrity in high-stakes situations.

What Were Looking For

  • 8-10 years of progressive high-tech public relations experience with a proven track record of elevating the media presence of B2B public companies.

  • Exceptional storytelling prowess: Your ability to distill complex technical concepts into accessible compelling corporate narratives for a wide array of audiences is second to none.

  • Demonstrated leadership and agency management expertise: You have successfully led and optimized PR agencies across Europe and managed significant communication budgets.

  • Executive Presence: A strong track record of confidently working with influencing and presenting to C-suite executives and senior leadership.

  • Strategic Agility: The ability to navigate a fast-paced high-growth environment manage multiple priorities and deliver high-quality results under tight deadlines. We value resourceful problem-solvers who thrive on dynamic challenges.

  • Technical Acumen: A genuine curiosity and ability to quickly understand and operate effectively within a highly technical environment specifically related to cloud infrastructure or cybersecurity.

  • Bachelors degree in Communications Marketing Journalism or a related field.

Well be super impressed if you have experience in any of these:

  • Deep European industry connections: Established relationships with influential media outlets and tech journalists in the enterprise IT cloud infrastructure services or cybersecurity sectors.
  • A portfolio of gold-standard contributed articles/ PR content and ideas on how to showcase Fastly technology in new and unique ways.
  • Fluency in multiple European languages

Work Hours: This position will require you to be available during European business hours with some flexibility needed for occasional late evening or early morning meetings.

This position is a hybrid role (twice a week in office) and open to candidates residing in the following location: London
