Data Analyst BI Data & Systems role provides technical subject matter expertise to the Procurement Analytics team supporting all Procurement data systems and reporting platforms.
Reporting to the Procurement Analytics Manager and partnering closely with colleagues across the function the position strengthens analytical capabilities within Procurement by delivering commercial business analytics drawing insights and advising on datadriven recommendations. It also encompasses the development and maintenance of Power BI products the management of upstream data feeds from multiple sources and the assurance of data quality and consistency while driving automation and enabling the adoption of analytical solutions across the wider community.
You will:
Collaborate with Procurement Analytics team members to develop test and deploy Category KPI dashboards. Identify and drive changes where system changes are needed to improve our dashboards and underlying performance insights
Monitor data accuracy and support projects to improve related data governance and quality standards for the categories in scope and drive improvement in the completeness and accuracy of data
Support implementation of data collection processes data analytics and other strategies that optimize statistical efficiency and quality
Monitor user feedback and satisfaction with quality of KPI insights / dashboards
Support improvements in forensic spend analytics for categories in scope identifying areas of non-controlled spend where procurement can drive greater value
Deliver descriptive/diagnostic analytics (trend variance anomaly spotting); light forecasting where it has clear business value
Partner with technology and finance to ensure we leverage the procurement technologies we already have to enhance effectiveness and improve outcomes
Provide subject matter expertise on spend data and spend analytics and reporting
Own the development usage and maintenance of the Procurement Spend Analytics Tool (PSA) and ensure data is accurately mapped
Propose ideas to improve layout and/or visuals of the PBI reporting based on feedback and request from the Procurement community
Provide technical competence and subject matter expertise to leverage Procurement reporting platforms e.g. Power BI and Tableau Prep
Leverage third-party data sources to create quality insights e.g. Hackett and Beroe
Deliver at the pace of key business priorities through collaboration with various cross-functional stakeholder groups
Build partnerships and maintain strong relationships with the ability to listen interpret influence negotiate inspire and challenge
Interpret and succinctly communicate insights and findings from analysis and test and learn opportunities to optimise business processes
Support the delivery of improved ways of working to increase output and process simplification
You have:
5 years of experience in a Procurement or Business Analytics field. Expertise in
Analytics & BI: Strong Power BI and SQL; proven KPI design and data storytelling
Cloud & data: Experience with cloud technologies AWS Azure
An agile and digital mindset continuous pursuit of excellence and automation
Extensive experience and subject matter expertise in Procurement sourcing platforms
Experience in SAP MM or similar ERP systems Business Warehouse
Track record influencing and managing senior stakeholders and driving change across- border teams. Ability to develop compelling business cases and presentations
Strong capability to embed practices through effective change management and communications methods
Project Management: Proven track record of delivery
Fluency in English
Fluency in another language would be an asset
Certifications: Microsoft Power BI Data Analyst Associate; AWS Cloud Practitioner or AWS Data Engineer Associate (nice to have)
Programming: Python for automation and data processing (nice to have)
