Sr Software Systems Engineer with Java

Sabre is seeking a talented Senior Software Systems Engineer to support the Customer Identity and Access Solutions team.

We are looking for an experienced person to join our Customer Identity and Access Solutions organization. This java development role is part of a distributed development team responsible for building services and migrating from TPF capabilities related to shared session state management. Additional responsibility will include enhancing and maintaining web-based applications used for customer security identification. Our applications interact with some of Sabres core systems in a highly complex enterprise environment. The candidate fulfilling this role will have an impact on every stage of development ensuring we deliver the right products to our customers. What you will be doing

• Design & build moderately complex services components and integrations; write clean testable code with appropriate abstraction and documentation.

• Own quality via unit/integration tests code reviews and CI/CD; practice TDD where practical and measure coverage and reliability.

• Operate what you build: participate in deployments monitoring and incident response; instrument services for performance and resiliency.

• Collaborate with product owners architects and partner teams to refine requirements estimate work and deliver iteratively.

• Security & compliance: implement secure coding practices and follow internal guidance on identity access and data protection.

• Continuously improve tooling processes and documentation; contribute to standards and best practices within the team.

• In our day-to-day operation we employ variety of technologies and tools including Java 8/17 Spring 3.x/4.x/5.x Tomcat 8 SpringBoot 2.0 SQL (Oracle 12c) LDAP Git Maven Jenkins Google Cloud.

Qualifications and Education Requirements:

Must have:

• Skilled in Java

• Experience with REST API development

• Knowledge of cloud technologies (GCP Kubernetes)

• Spring Framework

• Experience with CICD (Jenkins Maven Github Github Actions)

• Experience with SQL

• Good understanding and practical experience in applying TDD practices

• Junit Mockito Spock or other testing tools / frameworks

• Understanding of Software Development Life Cycle management (Agile/SCRUM methodology)

• Basic scripting skills(e.g. bash)

• Ability to diagnose troubleshoot and repair systems related problems

• Good self-organization skills and initiative

• Good communication skills in English written and verbal

Education:

Bachelors in Computer Science/Engineering.
