Job Description
As a Security Officer - Access Control Desk in Fort Worth TX you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Logistics & Distribution and more. As an Allied Universal Security Officer at a busy logistics and distribution location you will monitor and patrol assigned areas complete routine rounds and maintain a visible presence that helps to discourage security-related incidents. You will support site operations through professional communication incident documentation and responsive customer service for employees visitors and drivers. What Youll Do:
- Provide customer service to site personnel and visitors by following Allied Universal security-related procedures location-specific policies and when appropriate emergency response activities.
- Control access at entry points and/or truck gates by verifying identification and credentials managing visitor and contractor check-in and directing traffic flow for warehouse and distribution operations.
- Monitor cameras alarms and communications systems to identify unusual activity document observations and report issues per site procedures.
- Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm problem-solving manner including contacting site leadership and/or emergency services as directed and completing required reports.
- Conduct regular and random patrols of warehouse areas loading docks yard space and the perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify hazards or maintenance concerns.
Minimum Requirements:
- Access control and badge experience is preferred.
- X-ray screening experience is preferred.
- Customer service experience is preferred.
- Being comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21 years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal state and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid drivers license will be required for driving positions only.
