Under general supervision the Accounts Receivable Specialist provides essential administrative and transactional support to ensure accurate and timely delivery of accounts receivable services across business units. The role adheres to IQVIA Finance Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) Sarbanes-Oxley (SOX) controls and applicable Service Level Agreements (SLAs). This position plays a key role in maintaining AR integrity supporting collections activities and contributing to the overall efficiency of the finance function.
Essential Functions
Essential and other important responsibilities and duties may include but are not limited to the following:
- Maintain Accounts Receivable (AR) inboxes daily ensuring all communications are accurately reviewed and routed to the appropriate departments.
- Respond promptly and professionally to customer inquiries regarding account balances invoices and payment status.
- Send followup communications to sponsors and Contract Research Organizations (CROs) to address pastdue balances and support timely collections.
- Collaborate with nursing data entry and conventional billing teams to resolve outstanding payment issues.
- Assist the accounting team by requesting remittance advices from CROs and sponsors for deposits received.
- Conduct monthly reviews with the AR Manager of outstanding accounts that fall outside metric parameters defined in the aging report for assigned sites.
Qualifications
Required
- High School Diploma or equivalent.
- Minimum 3 years of relevant experience or an equivalent combination of education training and experience.
- Proficiency with PeopleSoft Finance modules.
- Solid working knowledge of Microsoft Office applications (Excel Word Outlook).
- High attention to detail with strong accuracy in data entry.
- Ability to work effectively within established procedures and operational guidelines.
- Strong time management skills with the ability to meet deadlines.
- Proven ability to work collaboratively in a teamoriented environment.
