Position Status: 3 Temporary Full-time Contract
Available: May 4 2026 to August 26 2026
Description of the Position:
As a member of our Impact Ambassador Team you will be responsible for inspiring and engaging our partners at corporate and community events encouraging them to achieve their fundraising goals and create meaningful impact for SickKids Foundation (SKF).
Like brand ambassadors who advocate for a company or organization our Impact Ambassadors promote awareness of the SickKids brand within the community by building positive relationships with donors and sharing the impact of the important work done by The Hospital for Sick Children (SickKids). This role includes a mix of time on the road visiting corporate partners at their storefronts and offices attending community events and working in the office.
You will:
- Travel to corporate partners offices and retail locations to deliver presentations that educate and inspire staff about SickKids and motivate fundraising activity.
- Attend community events to provide on-site support lead fundraising activations and engage attendees to boost fundraising results.
- Deliver customized impact speeches to donor groups of all sizes inspiring connection to SickKids mission.
- Complete data entry and reporting in the KYDS CRM system (training provided).
- Collaborate with fellow Impact Ambassadors to manage workload and share campaign insights partner feedback and emerging trends with the Activation Team and relationship managers.
- Collect meaningful stories from partners donors and events to strengthen relationships and support personalized communications and social media content.
- Provide general administrative and project support as required including mailing donor materials supporting inventory management and assisting with data entry and processing.
Qualifications:
While we know that for any job posting no one candidate will possess the qualifications being sought in equal measure below is an outline of the qualifications we believe are important for a candidate to bring to the position or for the successful candidate to develop while in the role:
- You have recently obtained or are currently pursuing a university degree or college diploma in Not-for-Profit Management or another relevant field.
- You have strong interpersonal skills and are comfortable building relationships in professional settings.
- You have excellent verbal and written communication skills across phone video and in-person interactions.
- You are a confident and engaging public speaker storyteller and motivator who can inspire others.
- You are organized detail-oriented and demonstrate strong follow-through to ensure tasks are completed on time.
- You work well both independently and as part of a team with a willingness to contribute to a variety of projects as needed.
- You thrive in a fast-paced environment effectively prioritizing tasks and using resourcefulness and creativity to meet deadlines.
- You are flexible and adaptable able to adjust to evolving strategies schedules and priorities.
- A personal connection to SickKids or the cause is considered an asset but not required.
- Availability to work evenings and weekends is required.
- Access to a vehicle and a valid G-class drivers license are required. You should be comfortable with frequent driving as Impact Ambassadors typically log approximately 3500 km during their contract. Mileage will be reimbursed.
