Job Summary
Group and Team: Corporate Services Network Information and Technology Services Group
Location: Town Hall
Employment status: Permanent Full-time
Classification: Municipal Officer Level 5
Agreement: Hobart City Council Enterprise Agreement 2024
Salary range: $119423 per annum 13.5% superannuation
About the role
- Lead the identification analysis and mitigation of cyber security risks and drive organisationwide security initiatives.
- Develop and maintain cyber security policies controls and incident response plans in line with standards and legislation.
- Conduct security audits vulnerability assessments penetration testing and provide expert guidance on enterprise risk.
- Manage core security tools and monitor investigate and respond to security incidents.
- Build organisationwide capability through staff training reporting collaboration and expert advice to leaders and project teams.

About you
- Proven experience leading complex cyber initiatives.
- Strong understanding of security frameworks and standards.
- Skilled in conducting security audits vulnerability assessments and penetration testing.
- Excellent analytical problemsolving communication and collaboration capabilities.
Qualifications and licences:
- Tertiary qualifications in Information Technology Cyber Security Computer Science or a related discipline
along with equivalent industry experience.
