Responsible for providing comprehensive direction and leadership over the operational financial programmatic and personnel activities of an assigned education program and its staff. This role requires a thorough understanding of accreditation policies and procedures including new program development and accreditation processes to ensure programs meet all required standards and regulations. The manager will also provide essential administrative support assess current resources and identify additional resources needed to effectively support assigned programs.

Duties:

  • Supervises staff including hiring orienting training and evaluating performance
  • Develops operational goals objectives and standards to guide program activities
  • Provides oversight and management of programs and daily operations
  • Directs and coordinates the work of a team including program support staff and implements process improvement initiatives
  • Facilitates course delivery to ensure smooth and effective instruction
  • Responsible for all educational programs for psychiatry and psychology including pre-clinical courses Psychiatry Clerkship MS IV electives Neurosciences NP Students visiting students residency program internship program and fellowships.
  • Primary coordinator for one or more of the educational programs
  • Coordinates and maintains relationships with various internal and external stakeholders
  • Facilitates coordinates and participates in discussions among cross-functional teams
  • Analyzes data to support quality control measures related to course and program offerings
  • Recommends data-driven solutions for process improvements based on reporting and analysis
  • Keeps stakeholders informed about programs and addresses concerns promptly
  • Resolves complex issues as they arise to ensure program success
  • Serves as the primary contact for external marketing efforts and oversees the creation and distribution of marketing materials and advertising
  • Oversees the maintenance security and proper disposition of confidential records
  • Represents the unit at meetings events and on committees or task forces
  • Prepares and delivers written and verbal presentations or proposals on complex issues to diverse audiences
  • Performs various duties as needed to successfully fulfill the function of the position.

Required Education and Experience: Bachelors Degree in business education health or related field AND:

  • 5 years of education program administration or coordination or related experience.

Skills:

  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to build rapport quickly and communicate effectively with students faculty staff and external stakeholders.
  • Excellent composition editing and proofreading skills.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and skilled in navigating maintaining and utilizing databases.
  • High attention to detail and accuracy in handling data and information.
  • Highly organized with the ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines.
  • Ability to read interpret and apply institutional policies as well as State and Federal regulations.
  • Demonstrated initiative and problem-solving skills to address challenges proactively and effectively.
  • Knowledge of assessment tools and methodologies for program evaluation.
  • Knowledge of accreditation standards and requirements.
