As a Security Officer - Roving Foot Patrol in Bessemer AL you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Tech/Media/Telecom and more. As an unarmed Patrol Officer with Allied Universal at a fast-paced tech location you will conduct routine patrols maintain a visible presence to help reduce security-related issues and support access control and incident response. You will communicate clearly with employees visitors and your team while delivering a customer-focused experience. What Youll Do:

• Provide customer service to clients by carrying out security-related procedures site-specific policies and/or emergency response activities as directed by Allied Universal.
• Respond to incidents alarms and critical situations in a calm problem-solving manner escalating to site contacts and/or public responders when appropriate.
• Conduct regular and random foot patrols of buildings parking areas and perimeter routes to help to deter unauthorized access and/or suspicious activity; working environments and conditions may vary by location.
• Control access for employees contractors and visitors using site protocols verifying identification and/or authorization prior to granting entry.
• Complete shift activity reports and incident documentation and communicate pertinent information to oncoming personnel and site leadership.

Minimum Requirements:

• Loss prevention experience is preferred.
• X-ray screening experience is preferred.
• Being comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Access control and/or badge experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21 years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal state and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid drivers license will be required for driving positions only.
