Job Summary
We are looking for a motivated Junior Mechanical Integration Engineer to join our RAIL engineering team in Naples Italy. The ideal candidate is proactive adaptable and ready to take on a variety of technical challenges in a fast-paced project environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform 3D mechanical integration analysis of train components and produce dedicated reports
- Manage and develop mechanical systems through the SRD supplier onboarding and co-design process
- Manage and maintain the full train digital mock-up in 3D CAD software
- Develop tolerance stack-up analyses and management plans to ensure correct mechanical integration of components
- Create full train assembly drawings for manufacturing purposes
- Design mechanical components such as welded frames and bracketry for systems integration
Qualifications :
- Degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent technical background
- Proficiency in 3D CAD software particularly Creo Catia or Autodesk
- Knowledge of DOORS for requirements management
- Familiarity with standard office tools (Word Excel etc.)
- Ability to work autonomously and adapt quickly to changing priorities
- Strong team player comfortable collaborating with international colleagues and senior engineers
Nice to Have
- Knowledge of railway vehicle working principles and relevant standards
- Familiarity with engineering processes and railway operations
- Passion for the railway industry
- Availability for occasional national and international business travel
Languages
- Italian mother tongue is mandatory
- English at least B2 level mandatory (international working environment)
