Purpose of the job

The Project Industrialization Engineer is responsible to industrialize the maintenance renovation/modernisation or warranty activity at the Depot Repair Centre or Production site(s) in order to secure the production deliverables.

Responsibilities

  • Analyze the requirements described in the maintenance plan.
  • Draft and validate process documentation (Standard Operation Sheet).
  • Identify necessary tools and materials from the definition of technical specifications to field validation.
  • Organize the layout (facilities workstations flow of materials/people number of operators civil works).
  • Validate with the project team the optimal strategy to implement to maximize the saturation of production resources.
  • Organize all maintenance activities in line with Alstom standard requirements (sequence of activities cycle time delivery times packaging workstation ergonomics skills EHS constraints and Quality requirements).
  • Document management on SAP Railsys (task list materials list tools list).
  • Validate the defined processes on the field with the operations team.
  • Manage suppliers for the creation of the main equipment.
  • Analyze and identify actions aimed at improving project performance.
  • Respect assigned budget.
  • Develop business cases to evaluate investment plans and implement Make or Buy strategies.

Requirements

  • Masters degree in engineering

  • At Least 2 to 5 years experience preferably in the railway industry ideally in an international organization

  • Ability to read and understand schematics and drawings

  • Technical experience of Methods Engineering writing and improving manufacturing and/or maintenance work instructions line balancing Lean Manufacturing

  • Experience in working with an ERP (such as SAP) for Bill of Materials Routings Configuration follow-up

  • Working knowledge of Quality and Health & Safety standards and systems

  • Proven ability to innovate and manage change

  • Excellent teamwork skills and ability to engage with internal and external stakeholders at various levels

  • Strong organizational and planning capabilities

  • Desire to learn and grow completing the profile

  • Fluent in English and Italian
