As a Security Guard - PT Roving Patrol in New York NY you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Tech/Media/Telecom and more. What Youll Do:
- Provide customer service to clients and site personnel by carrying out security-related procedures site-specific policies and/or emergency response activities appropriate to the location.
- Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of offices common areas parking areas and perimeter routes to help to deter unwanted activity and/or identify irregular conditions.
- Monitor access points and visitor activity in accordance with site procedures including checking credentials and/or directing guests to the appropriate contact.
- Respond to incidents alarms and critical situations in a calm problem-solving manner; document observations and actions and notify site contacts and/or Allied Universal leadership as required.
- Complete routine reporting such as patrol logs incident reports and shift handoffs; communicate clearly with team members and/or local responders when requested.
Minimum Requirements:
- Be at least 21 years of age.
- Access control and/or badge experience is preferred.
- A guard card and/or license is preferred.
- Customer service experience is preferred.
- Ability to lift up to 20 lbs is preferred.
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21 years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal state and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid drivers license will be required for driving positions only.
