Summary of Responsibilities:
The bar lead oversees the staff and operations of a bar by making sure its clean functioning
efficiently and inviting for customers to relax in. The main duties include scheduling employees
and building their shift calendars managing and resolving customer complaints and ensuring
the bars inventory is well-stocked
Primary Responsibilities and Objectives:
Recruit interview hire and train new bar staff employees
Handle customer complaints
Advertise the daily weekly and monthly promotions of the bar
Ensure staff is following all food control and safety regulations
Create employee schedules based on expected customer numbers
Education and Experience:
High school diploma or GED is preferred
At least one year in hospitality or restaurant experience a plus
Skills and requirements:
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Ability to diffuse conflict within the bar
Developed problem-solving skills required
Leadership skills required
Organization skills required
Create employee schedules based on expected customer numbers
Advertise the daily weekly and monthly promotions of the bar
Ability to professionally and efficiently handle customer complaints
Required to complete and successfully pass the Avenue5 Fair Housing Diversity and
Inclusion Training within the first 30 days of employment
Scheduling:
Required to maintain a regular schedule which may require working outside of business
hours weekends and non-traditional holidays
May be required to be on-call and aid during staffing deficiencies on-site
Environment:
Exposure to an environment typically found in a hotel or restaurant
Exposure to hot cold wet humid or windy conditions
Physical Requirements:

sound
Ability to compare copy coordinate synthesize negotiate communicate and instruct
Ability to tolerate stressful situations

which they must convey detailed or important spoken instructions to other workers
accurately loudly or quickly
Ability to work under minimal to moderate supervision
